We are looking for a hands-on Electrical Team Leader to lead installation teams across a range of
projects. This role is critical to ensuring that projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest
quality standards
Duties & Responsibilities
General
- Lead electrical installation teams on various sites.
- Ensure that work is executed according to drawings, specifications, and timelines.
- Communicate and liaise with internal Managers.
- Provide regular progress updates and reports.
- Manage subcontractors.
- Oversee productivity, discipline, and performance on-site
- Ensure all team members meet all safety requirements.
- Hand-on work with team members.
- Ensure all installations comply with company quality standards and electrical
regulations. - Issue COC’s for all electrical installations.
Planning & Coordination: - Plan daily and weekly work schedules.
- Order and manage materials for each project.
- Align site activities with project programs and milestones.
- Weekly progress meetings.
Performance Measures / Success Criteria - Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
- PC literacy, MS Office Excel, Word.
- Ability to do fault-finding Single and Three-phase.
- Experience with Three-Phase motors.
- Experience with electrical reticulation / wireways.
- Experience with DB & control circuit wiring.
- Experience in the HVAC industry.
- Variable speed drives knowledge.
- Electrical drawings – Must be able to read & understand electrical drawings.
- Motor testing.
- Basic control’s fault-finding ability.
- Ability to lead a team.
- Ability to plan jobs in advance.
Experience - 5+ years in the electrical construction industry.
- Experience in construction environments (HVAC Industry will be advantageous).
- Experience leading teams.
Qualifications - Matric.
- Electrical Trade Test
- Registered as an Installation Electrician (Three Phase Wireman’s License).
- Valid SA Driver’s License
